The role of the Team Advisor is to cultivate high team standards for individual tasks and for the project as a whole, to foster creative and analytical thinking skills, to assist with long-range planning, and to provide enriching learning experiences. An Advisor may be responsible for more than one team during the projectOUTREACH season. However, for Tournament Bound teams, extra volunteers are needed on Tournament day so that each team is accompanied by an adult

The Team Advisor, as a representative of his or her sponsoring organization, is responsible for supervising the team, acting as team facilitator and serving as a positive role model. The Advisor assists students in developing cooperative working relationships and aids his or her team in locating team resources.

Team Advisors must be adults aged 18 or older
